Bologna

La città di Bologna vanta di un centro storico di epoca medievale tra i più belli del Paese, con antichi palazzi, portici e torri.

Il suo low profile negli itinerari turistici internazionali la rende a misura d’uomo: niente orde di turisti e file interminabili per chi decide di trascorrere una vacanza a Bologna, ma tanta cultura, arte, storia, passeggiate e soprattutto, buona cucina dove degustare i piatti bolognesi famosi nel mondo: tortellini, tagliatelle, lasagne e molto altro. A GIRO PER LA CITTÀ 
L’Università di Bologna o “Alma Mater Studiorum” considerata la più antica università del mondo (1088)  vanta oggi oltre 100.000 studenti e i suoi antichi palazzi sono fra le maggiori attrazioni della città. Ammirateli passeggiando nei dintorni de centro storico e ricordate che qui sono state formate alcune delle più importanti personalità del millennio, da Pico della Mirandola a Guglielmo Marconi. Entrate ad ammirare le volte affrescate dell’Archiginnasio, sede amministrativa dell’università fino al XIX secolo e, oggi, biblioteca comunale contenente antichissimi volumi. A pochi minuti si trovano le due torri, uno dei simboli del centro città. Bologna, infatti, era detta anche la turrita: si narra che, dal Medioevo, le varie casate della città ne avessero erette fino a 180. Oggi ne rimangono meno di 20, e le più alte e celebri sono la Torre della Garisenda, pericolante a causa di un cedimento del terreno, e quella degli Asinelli, vicino a Piazza Maggiore. Bologna has a medieval historic center, one of the most beautiful in the country, with ancient Palaces, Arcades and Towers.

Its “low profile” in international tourist itineraries makes it away from tourist crowd so no endless queues for those who decide to spend a holiday in Bologna, but a lot of culture, history, works of art, shopping and, above all, good food: hundreds of restaurants, family run trattorias, pubs, taverns open all night. Do not forget to visit “FICO”, the largest Agri-Food Park in the world, inaugurated a few years ago just outside the city.

WALK AROUND THE CITY OF BOLOGNA
